Same CX-HE magnetic switch, same firmware, same 0.1 mm rapid trigger as the 60, in brushed silver aluminium with blank white caps. The housings stand proud of the plate, so the per-key lighting comes through the switch instead of only under a legend. It is the board most of our own testers use, which is the only endorsement on this site.

What the RAIL 80 HE is not.

Every product on this site carries this section, because a specification table only ever tells you what a thing does.

  • Not hot-swappable, for the same reason the RAIL 60 is not: there is no socket in a magnetic board.
  • The caps are blank. Every one of them, with no legended option — if you do not touch-type, this is the wrong board.
  • No SOCD cleaning or snap-tap here either.
  • White and silver is the only finish. A second colourway is a second keycap tool and a second stock line, and at this volume that is a price rise.

60 % magnetic analog. Actuation anywhere from 0.1 to 4.0 mm, rapid trigger in 0.1 mm steps, per key. Wired 8 kHz or wireless on CX-LINK.
